Test sets
Group test cases into static or rule-based test sets that you run as one execution.
A test set is a group of test cases you run together, for example a regression suite or the smoke tests after a deployment. It is one of two kinds: Static: an ordered list of test cases you pick. Dynamic: a rule (labels, types, categories, priorities, statuses, release). The rule is resolved when an execution starts, so new test cases that match are picked up automatically. Archived test cases never run. Create a static test set# Open Testing ▸ Test sets and select New test set. Enter a Name and a Description. Keep Assignment on Static, set the Status (Draft, Active, Archived), and optionally the Owner, Release and Labels. Select Create test set. The set opens on its Cases tab. Select Add cases, tick the test cases and select Link N test cases. The set runs its cases in the order shown. Use the arrows to reorder them and Remove to take one out. Edit the rule of a dynamic test set# On a dynamic test set, the Cases tab shows the Rule and a live preview, Matches now. Pick the Labels, Type, Categories, Priority, Status and Release the test cases must have. Values you leave empty match everything. Check the Matches now list. Select Save rule (or Discard). Beta limitationIn this beta, choosing Dynamic in New test set is refused with "A dynamic test set needs a rule", because the dialog has no rule fields. Create a dynamic test set through the API with a rule (POST /api/v1/tenants/{tenantId}/qa-hub/projects/{projectId}/test-sets with "assignmentMode": "dynamic" and a rule, for example { "types": ["automated"] }), then edit its rule in the web app. Find and manage test sets# The Test sets list shows each set's kind and number of cases, status, release, owner, the Last run with its results, and Run now. Open a test set to see its Details, its Executions, Attachments and History. Use ⋮ to clone, archive, restore or delete it. An archived set cannot be executed. Next steps# Run tests
