Storage buckets

Keep files for automations in storage buckets, connect a bucket to Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage, and browse, upload, version and share files.

A storage bucket holds files your automations read and write: incoming documents, reports, exports. Buckets belong to a workspace; open them from Storage buckets in the workspace sidebar. Every workspace has a bucket named default. A bucket's files are kept by one of these providers: Provider Where files live VeloPhex In the Orchestrator's own blob store. Amazon S3 In your S3 bucket (or an S3-compatible store with an endpoint). Azure Blob Storage In your Azure storage container. Create a bucket# Open the workspace and select Storage buckets. Select New bucket. Under General, enter a Name and Description, and choose the Provider. For Amazon S3, enter the Bucket, Region, and optionally an Endpoint, a Prefix and Path-style addressing. For Azure Blob Storage, enter the Container and the Account URL. Under Credentials, choose the Credential store and the secret that holds the access key or connection details. Under Limits, optionally tick Read-only, and set a File size limit (MB). For VeloPhex buckets you can also set a Quota (GB), Versions kept and Retention (days). Under Sharing, tick the other workspaces the bucket is Shared with. Select Create bucket. To check a connected bucket later, select ⋮ ▸ Test connection on its row. Browse and upload files# Select the bucket (or ⋮ ▸ Browse files). Open folders by selecting them; the path above the list takes you back. Select Upload to add files to the current folder, or New folder to create one. Search by name; wildcards such as *.pdf work. Tick Show deleted to see deleted files. From a file's ⋮ menu you can Download, Copy link, Rename, Move, see its Versions, Restore a deleted file, or Delete it. Edit at the top changes the bucket's settings. Use buckets from automations# Python: runtime.upload_file, download_file, list_files, read_text, write_text and delete_file. See Storage buckets in the Python SDK.
