Move through the lifecycle

Move opportunities between phases, fill in what a move requires, ask for and decide approvals, and work from the Pipeline.

An opportunity moves from phase to phase along the tenant's lifecycle. Each move (a transition) can require a permission, information, an approval or a linked automation. There is no dragging: every move goes through the Move dialog, which checks those requirements. The default lifecycle# Move Needs Draft → Submitted The submitter selects Submit; the tenant's mandatory fields must be filled. Submitted → Assessment launchpad_assessments edit. Assessment → Business Review The high-level assessment, a transaction volume and the average handling time. Business Review → Technical Review A business owner. Technical Review → Decision The detailed assessment. Decision → Approved An approval. Approved → Planning A process owner; launchpad_opportunities edit (also for the moves below). Planning → Development → Testing → UAT — UAT → Production A linked automation. See Measured benefit. Production → Benefits Review — Administrators can change phases and transitions in Lifecycle settings. Move an opportunity# Open the opportunity and select Move to… (or select Move to… on its card in the Pipeline). Under Destination, choose where to move it. A destination you can use shows Ready. One that can't be used yet lists what stands in its way, for example Missing: Business owner; select Fill in to go to that field. Optionally add a Comment. Select Move to phase. The opportunity moves, and its followers are notified. When no move is available, the header also says what the next move needs. Only an opportunity In progress can move; resume an opportunity on hold first. Ask for an approval# A move marked Needs approval isn't made straight away. Someone else has to approve it. Select Move to…, choose the destination and add a Comment for the approver. Select Request approval to move to phase. The dialog confirms who the move now waits for: someone with the move's permission, other than you. The opportunity header shows Awaiting approval to move to phase. Only one approval can be pending at a time. Your requests are listed under My work ▸ Approvals ▸ Asked by me. Approve or reject a move# Open My work ▸ Approvals. Waiting for me lists the moves you can decide, with who asked, how long it has waited and the assessment version it was asked on. Select the row. The review shows the move, the requester's note, the evidence and the assessment scores. Select Open key for the full evidence to read the whole opportunity. Add a Comment (required to reject) and select Approve and move or Reject. You can't decide an approval you asked for. If the assessment or baseline changed after the request (Changed since), approving is refused and the approval is invalidated; the move has to be asked again on the new evidence. If another reviewer decides first, the review shows who did. Use the Pipeline# Opportunities ▸ Pipeline shows submitted opportunities in four lanes, Review, Decision, Implementation and Live, with the number in each. Each card shows the key, priority, name and phase, and a Move to… button that opens the Move dialog. You need launchpad_assessments view to see the Pipeline.
